The Golden Cup award recognizes excellence in brewed coffee. It is awarded annually to retailers and restaurants whose specialty coffee is properly ground and brewed.

To be eligible for the award, the Bakery had to prepare its coffee according to the SCAA's precise brewing standards. Retailers who apply for the Golden Cup award must submit a sample of their water and their brewed coffee for laboratory analysis.

The Bakery at Sullivan University produced the cake for Dannielynn (Smith) Birkhead, daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith and Louisville native Larry Birkhead. The lavish princess-themed party was held at Patricia Barnstable Brown's house (yes, the same place where all the celebs come for the big Derby party every year benefiting Diabetes research). Larry wanted to hold Dannielynn's 1st birthday party, held on September 8, at the same place where he met her mom.
